Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC have confirmed the signing of Gabonese midfielder Axel Mezui Me Nkili following a successful trial spell at Lugogo.
The towering 6.2ft midfielder arrives from Canon 105 and has penned a contract lasting two years and four months, which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2027/28 season.
Mezui had been among a group of foreign players training with the Kasasiro Boys over the past few weeks as the technical team assessed potential additions to strengthen the squad for the remainder of the campaign.

Speaking to the clubβs official website after completing the move, Mezui expressed excitement about beginning a new chapter with the Ugandan giants:
βI am incredibly happy and proud to join KCCA FC, a club with such a rich history and ambitious future. I have heard great things about the club, the fans, and the league. I am eager to get started, meet my new teammates, and contribute my best to help the team achieve its goals and bring more silverware to Lugogo.β
Primarily an attacking midfielder, Mezui is capable of operating as a number 10 but can also lead the attack when required. His technical ability and proficiency from set-pieces further add to his attacking qualities.
The Gabonese midfielder becomes KCCAβs first acquisition of the mid-season transfer window as the club looks to bolster its squad for the title race.
