Ibrahim Orit delivered a standout performance with a brace as BUL FC bounced back to winning ways with a convincing 2-0 victory over Police FC in the Uganda Premier League at Kira Police Arena on Tuesday evening.

BUL arrived at the fixture eager to rediscover their rhythm after a difficult run that saw them draw against Vipers SC before suffering defeat to KCCA FC. Determined to halt the slide, the visitors produced a disciplined display to secure maximum points on the road.

From the opening exchanges, BUL looked the more adventurous side, pressing forward and probing the hosts’ defence. However, Police goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga stood firm in the early stages, making several important interventions to keep his side level.

The visitors continued to push for the opener, and in the 28th minute Umar Kasumba attempted to catch Muwanga off guard with a long-range strike, but the effort drifted harmlessly wide.

After a competitive first half, the breakthrough finally arrived shortly after the restart. Orit opened the scoring around the hour mark, unleashing a powerful finish following a well-worked move that was initiated by Richard Okello.

Police attempted to fight their way back into the contest, resorting to aerial deliveries into the box in search of an equaliser. Despite the pressure, BUL’s defensive unit remained composed and dealt effectively with the hosts’ direct approach.

As the match approached its conclusion, Orit ensured the result was beyond doubt. In the 90th minute, he produced a moment of individual brilliance to seal the victory.

Latching onto a pass from Walter Ochora, the forward embarked on a determined solo run, rounding Muwanga before calmly rolling the ball into the empty net.
