URA FC have welcomed back striker Bruno Bunyaga, who has returned to the club after a short but purposeful stint in the United States, where he balanced academics with football at James Madison University in Harrisonburg.

The Tax Collectors confirmed his return on Sunday, December 7, 2025, marking the end of a three-month spell abroad that began in August.

“The club had been fully aware of Bunyaga’s move and granted him the green light to take up the opportunity,” URA stated. “After completing his brief program, the striker is now back in Uganda.”

Bunyaga has been quietly rebuilding his rhythm over the past two weeks, training with the squad as he edges closer to full integration. His return comes at a convenient time for URA, who remain intent on sharpening their attacking edge.

Before heading to the U.S., the forward had already committed his long-term future to the club by signing a contract extension that keeps him at URA until 2027. He was licensed for the current Uganda Premier League campaign, and only awaits licence reactivation by FUFA to become eligible for match selection again.

His availability will broaden head coach Fred Mugisha’s offensive choices, adding another proven option alongside Nelson Senkatuka, Fred Amaku, and rapidly emerging youngster Denis Kisiriko. Bunyaga’s return restores depth and injects renewed energy into a squad aiming to elevate its second-round ambitions.
