Kitara Football Club have confirmed the appointment of their former president, Deo Kasozi, as the club’s first-ever Chief Community Resource Mobiliser on a two-year term.
Kasozi, who stepped down from the presidency in June after a historic tenure, now takes on a fresh challenge aimed at strengthening the Royals’ off-pitch foundations.
His new role will center on resource mobilization, building partnerships, and spearheading community-driven projects designed to cement Kitara’s long-term growth and sustainability.
During his leadership as president, Kasozi oversaw the most successful era in Kitara’s history. He guided the Hoima-based side back to the Uganda Premier League, delivered the club’s maiden Uganda Cup title in the 2023/24 season, and secured their first-ever CAF Confederation Cup qualification, milestones that elevated Kitara onto the continental stage.
With his return in a new capacity, the Royals expect him to rally support from both local and international stakeholders, ensuring the club continues to thrive on and off the pitch.
