Ugandan international and attacking midfielder Allan Mugalu has pledged his future to NEC FC, signing a fresh three-year contract that will keep him in the team’s colors until June 2028, according to official communication from the club.
Speaking after putting pen to paper, Mugalu expressed his delight at extending his stay, crediting the club’s ambition and fan support for his decision.
“This is my home now. I believe in the project and want to achieve more with this team,” he said to the club media.

Mugalu first arrived at NEC in 2023 from Arua Hill SC on a two-year deal and quickly adapted to life under head coach Hussein Mbalangu.
Over the past two StarTimes Uganda Premier League seasons, he has featured in 46 matches, chipping in with 11 vital goals and 10 assists, while becoming a dependable presence on the right wing.
Known for his pace, vision, and precision crossing, the right-footed playmaker has played a pivotal role in several key fixtures, delivering when the team needed him most.
His ability to unlock stubborn defenses and his tireless work rate have earned him multiple Man of the Match awards since his debut season.
