NEC will put their impressive run in the Uganda Premier League on the line when they travel to the Kiira Road Police Arena in Kamwokya for a Friday showdown against Police.
The Bugolobi-based outfit arrive for the encounter riding a ten-match unbeaten stretch in the league, a run that has firmly established them among the division’s most consistent performers in recent weeks.

However, they slightly stalled their momentum in the previous round after Entebbe UPPC forced them to settle for a goalless stalemate.
Despite that result, Badru Kaddu’s side remains firmly in the hunt for a higher position on the table. Sitting seventh with 31 points, NEC could close the gap on sixth-placed Police to just two points if they manage to secure victory away from home.
Police, meanwhile, head into the clash with renewed confidence following a spirited performance earlier in the week. The 2005 league champions edged record title holders SC Villa 1–0 on Tuesday, a result that strengthened their position in the standings and boosted morale within the squad.
When the two teams met earlier in the season at the MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, the contest produced plenty of drama. NEC appeared to be cruising after racing into a two-goal lead, but Police mounted a determined comeback to salvage a 2–2 draw.
