BUL FC have bolstered their attack with the acquisition of highly-rated striker Lawrence Kambugu, who has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the Jinja-based side.
The 18-year-old arrives from FUFA Big League outfit Ntugasaze FC, where he lit up the division last season by finishing as top scorer with 15 goals. His rise has been rapid, having graduated from Rays of Grace Academy before getting a taste of top-tier football at Gaddafi FC in the Uganda Premier League.

Upon sealing the move, a delighted Kambugu expressed his ambitions, as quoted by the club:
“I thank God and BUL FC for the opportunity. I am here to help this club meet its targets. It is a big team with a winning mentality, and I love winning, too.”
Head coach Abbey Kikomeko welcomed the youngster, highlighting the need for more firepower up front:
“We struggled with scoring goals last season, mostly in the first round. We opted to widen our striking line, thus adding Lawrence to our attacking depth. We believe he is a good addition to the team. As the technical team, we are here to help him shine in the Uganda Premier League.”
Kambugu’s arrival signals BUL’s intent to sharpen their frontline ahead of the new campaign, with fans eager to see if the youngster can replicate his goal-scoring exploits at the highest level.
