English youngster of Ugandan descent Divine Mukasa delivered an impressive performance as Leicester City fought to a draw against Stoke City on Saturday at the Bet365 Stadium.
The attacking midfielder, who is on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season, played a decisive role for Leicester City by scoring once and providing an assist in an entertaining Championship encounter.
Mukasa opened the scoring for the Foxes in the 52nd minute, showing great composure inside the box to put his side ahead after a lively start to the second half. The goal marked his growing influence in Leicester’s attack since arriving on loan.
Despite Stoke City pushing hard for a response, Mukasa continued to torment the home defence and later turned provider in the 76th minute. The 18-year-old set up Harry Winks, whose finish doubled Leicester’s tally and appeared to put them in a strong position to secure all three points.

However, Stoke mounted a late comeback to deny the visitors victory at the Bet365 Stadium, forcing the Foxes to settle for a share of the spoils.
Mukasa’s contribution means he has now registered two goals and two assists in just four appearances for Leicester since joining from Manchester City in January, underlining his rapid adaptation to the demands of the Championship.
Despite the youngster’s bright form, Leicester’s fight for survival remains tense. The Foxes currently sit in the relegation zone in the EFL Championship with 33 points from 33 matches.
With the season entering its decisive phase, Leicester will hope Mukasa’s creativity and attacking spark can help lift them out of the drop zone in the coming weeks.
