KCCA FC have strengthened their attacking options with the acquisition of promising forward Alpha Thierry Ssali, who joins the Kasasiro Boys on a two-year contract from NEC FC.
The 21-year-old, son of celebrated Ugandan musician Moses “Bebe Cool” Ssali, becomes the latest addition to KCCA’s revamped squad ahead of the new Uganda Premier League campaign.
His signing also rekindles a deep family connection with the club, as his grandfather Bidandi Ssali once served as both coach and team manager for the Kampala giants in the late 1960s.

Ssali’s career has been on a steady climb since his early days at Proline FC. He moved to Express FC in August 2023 and featured for a season and a half before switching to NEC FC in January this year. Despite limited minutes at NEC, where he was forced to battle for game time against seasoned attackers like Paul Mucureezi and James Jarieko, his potential has remained evident, prompting KCCA’s interest.
The forward now joins a star-studded rebuild at Lugogo that has already seen the arrival of goalkeeper Charles Lukwago, defender Enock Walusimbi, and attackers Roger Mugisha, Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Herbert Achayi, and Lazaro Muhindo Bwambale.
With his versatility and technical flair, Ssali is expected to provide fresh competition and creativity in KCCA’s frontline as they push for domestic glory and continental football.
