KCCA FC has bolstered its defensive ranks with the signing of former URA FC captain Enock Walusimbi on a two-year contract, becoming the club’s fourth major acquisition of the ongoing transfer window.
Walusimbi, who previously captained Express FC to a league title in 2020 and had a stint in Scotland, joins the thirteen-time Uganda Premier League champions as they aim to challenge for top honors in the upcoming season. Known for his aerial dominance, composure, and organizational skills, the versatile defender can operate both as a center-back and full-back, giving the coaching team tactical flexibility.

Co-Head Coach Jackson Magera expressed his delight at bringing in a player with Walusimbi’s pedigree.
“Enock is a player we have been monitoring for a while. His leadership qualities and experience in the league are exactly what we need to strengthen our backline. We are confident he will be a key player for us,” he noted.
Walusimbi echoed the club’s ambition and spoke of his excitement about the move.
“I am happy to join KCCA FC, a club with a rich history and ambitious goals. This is a new chapter for me, and I am ready to give my all for the badge. My goal is to help the team win trophies, and I believe we have the talent and determination to achieve great things,” he said.
The 26-year-old becomes the latest addition to a busy recruitment drive by the Cityzens, following the arrivals of striker Ivan Ahimbisibwe, left-back Herbert Achayi, and midfielder Lazaro Muhindo. His signing signals KCCA’s intent to rebuild a strong squad capable of reclaiming domestic supremacy.
