Massively experienced Ugandan defender Arthur Kiggundu has completed a move to newly promoted Uganda Premier League side Entebbe UPPC FC on an undisclosed contract length and fee. The 30-year-old joins as a free agent after parting ways with Kitara FC at the end of last season.
Kiggundu, known for his composure on the ball and solid defensive reading, brings a wealth of experience to his new club. He leaves Kitara FC as a Uganda Cup winner, a trophy he won in the 2023/24 season after beating NEC FC 1-0.

Speaking after his unveiling, Kiggundu expressed excitement about the new chapter.
“Entebbe UPPC is building something ambitious, and I’m happy to be part of it. I’m ready to give my all for the team,” he spoke to Entebbe UPPC TV at the unveiling.
At Kitara last season, he played 33 matches across all competitions. In his one-and-a-half year spell at the Hoima-based club, he featured in 52 games.
He has previously played for seven-time Uganda Premier League champions Express, where he was part of the squad that won the Uganda Premier League in the 2020/21 season. With the Red Eagles, he also won the CECAFA Kagame Cup championship in the same campaign.
In 2020, he signed for Kitara FC, playing a pivotal role in their promotion to the Uganda Premier League and maintaining their top-flight status. His leadership and defensive stability earned him praise from both fans and coaches. He has previously played for Tooro United.
