Uganda Premier League side Lugazi Football Club have announced the dismissal of their entire technical staff, following a string of poor results in the ongoing 2025/26 league season.
The decision comes after the team’s 2–1 home loss to Vipers SC in Najjembe last week, a defeat that extended their winless run to five games and left them third from the bottom of the standings, with just 10 points in 11 matches.
Co-coaches Steven Bogere and Francis Mugerwa were among those relieved of their duties, alongside assistant coach Gerald Efiti, goalkeeping coach Kizza Adam, statistician Alex Mugabi, and team doctor Jude Ssempijja.
The club’s management expressed deep disappointment with the team’s performance, emphasizing the need for a “fresh approach” to salvage the season. Sources close to the club suggest that an interim technical team will be appointed while management seeks permanent replacements.
Lugazi FC now faces a critical juncture as they look to reverse their fortunes in the remaining fixtures, with fans calling for decisive action to stabilize the squad.
