KCCA co-head coach Brian Ssenyondo has sounded a note of caution ahead of his side’s Uganda Premier League clash with Buhimba United Saints, urging his players to avoid any hint of complacency when the two sides meet at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo, on Wednesday.
The Kasasiro Boys head into the fixture riding a wave of confidence. A four-match winning streak since their lone defeat to defending champions Vipers SC has propelled KCCA to the summit of the league standings with 23 points, reinforcing their status as early title pace-setters.

On paper, the visitors arrive as clear underdogs. Buhimba United Saints, newly promoted to the top flight, are enduring a difficult spell, having failed to register a win in their last seven outings. Yet Ssenyondo insists form counts for little when reputation and pride come into play.
“They will be motivated playing against KCCA and so we need to be extra careful,” warned Ssenyondo. “But we are KCCA and need to concentrate on ourselves and what we do better,” he added.
KCCA’s preparations, however, are not without challenges. The Lugogo outfit will be without Uganda Cranes trio Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Shafik Nana Kwikiriza and Charles Lukwago, all currently away on national duty in Morocco.
Defensive options are further stretched by the absence of Emmanuel Anyama, who is suspended after receiving a red card in the recent victory over NEC.
