Vipers SC rediscovered their cutting edge on Saturday night, shaking off two straight stalemates to claim a convincing 3-1 win over BUL FC in a pulsating Uganda Premier League encounter at St. Maryโs Stadium, Kitende.
The opening 45 minutes unfolded as a cagey chess match, with both sides probing cautiously. Chances were scarce and fleeting, and despite promising build-ups, neither team showed the composure required to find a breakthrough before the interval.

The contest, however, took on a completely different complexion moments after the restart. Just three minutes into the second half, Enock Ssebagala ignited the Kitende crowd with a moment of sheer brilliance, unleashing a stunning effort in the 48th minute to give the Venoms the lead and inject urgency into the game.
BUL refused to roll over. Their response was swift and assertive, as Jerome Kirya struck in the 55th minute, silencing the home fans and dragging the visitors back onto level terms, with momentum briefly swinging their way.
That parity was short-lived. Vipers pressed forward with renewed intent and were rewarded in the 57th minute when Milton Karisaโs header struck an opposing defenderโs hand, leaving the referee with little choice but to point to the spot. Abdul Karim Watambala kept his nerve two minutes later, coolly dispatching the penalty to restore the hostsโ advantage.
With confidence surging and BUL struggling to regain their footing, Vipers tightened their grip on the contest. Usama Arafat put the result beyond doubt with a composed finish, extending the lead and effectively placing the hosts firmly in control for the remainder of the match.
