Vipers SC are ramping up their preparations for the 2025/26 season with yet another marquee friendly, this time against Rwandan heavyweights Rayon Sport FC in Kigali on Monday.
The reigning Ugandan champions are in the thick of a rigorous preseason campaign, using a demanding tour of Rwanda to sharpen their edge before a season packed with domestic and continental commitments.
Ivan Jacky Minnaertโs charges have already shown glimpses of their growing chemistry. On Friday, they held Tanzanian giants Azam FC to a cagey 0-0 stalemate in the Rwandan capital, a performance that underlined their defensive discipline and tactical structure. That result came hot on the heels of two morale-boosting wins over Rwandaโs Gorilla FC, where the Venoms struck 3-1 and 1-0 victories at their St. Maryโs Stadium fortress.

The clash with Rayon Sport promises to be another litmus test for the Ugandan side as they continue fine-tuning their style of play. With the Uganda Premier League, Uganda Cup, and a CAF Champions League campaign looming, Minnaert is leaving no stone unturned in his quest to mould a battle-ready squad.
Vipersโ Kigali date with Rayon Sport adds further intrigue to an already high-octane preseason, setting the stage for an enthralling season opener next month.
