Ugandan champions Vipers SC have dipped into the transfer market once again, sealing the signature of promising Liberian winger Robin Kane Hney on a two-year contract.
The 20-year-old speedster arrives at St. Maryโs Stadium, Kitende after a spell in Albania with Apolonia Fier, where he clocked 12 appearances last term, contributing two goals and five assists.
Hney is a graduate of Cece United Football Academy and also featured for Pepper FC and FC Fassell back home before testing European football. Incidentally, Fassell also once provided the touchline platform for Vipersโ Belgian tactician Ivan Jacky Minnaert, adding an intriguing link to the move.

With his pace off the mark, close control, and knack for creating chances, Hney has been earmarked as an attacking weapon in Vipersโ new-look squad. The Venoms are currently reshaping their roster in anticipation of a demanding 2025/26 campaign, one that includes both domestic title defenses and a crack at the CAF Champions League.
Competition for minutes will be stiff, as the Liberian joins a frontline boasting captain Milton Karisa, Odili Chukwuma, and Yunus Sentamu. Still, club insiders believe his dynamism and flair can add a fresh edge.
Hney becomes the newest member of Vipersโ growing recruitment drive, following the arrivals of Enock Ssebaggala, Kevin Dasylva Bady, Chukwuma, and his fellow Liberian forward Mark Yallah.
