URA FC centre-back Vuni Bright Joseph has completed a season-long loan move to newly promoted Uganda Premier League side Entebbe UPPC FC. The deal was confirmed this week, giving the 25-year-old defender a chance to revive his career with regular football.
Vuni struggled to nail down a starting berth under head coach Alex Isabirye at URA, managing only 10 appearances last term. His move comes after a stop-start spell with the Tax Collectors, whom he joined from UPDF FC, following an earlier stint at Arua Hill. Since his top-flight debut in the 2020/21 season, he has accumulated close to a century of league appearances.
Entebbe UPPC have been active in the transfer market as they gear up for their maiden top-flight campaign. Vuni becomes their 14th new arrival, joining a lengthy cast of recruits including Hassan Ssenyonjo, Steven Munguchi, Mustafa Mujuzi, Rogers Omedwa, Arthur Kiggundu, Noordin Bunjo, Isa Bugembe, John Kokas Alou, Isa Mubiru, Julius Poloto, Kigozi Ambrose, Kyeyune Muhammad, and Odongo Jonathan.
The ambitious newcomers have also handed the reins to former KCCA FC tactician Abdallah Mubiru, who has been tasked with building a competitive squad for their debut season.
The Printers will kick off their Uganda Premier League journey with a home tie against Buhimba Saints United at the Entebbe Works Playground, a historic moment for the lakeside outfit as they step onto the big stage.
