Rogers Mato continues to light up the North Macedonian league with his unstoppable goal-scoring form. On Wednesday night, the Uganda Cranes international and winger was once again on target as FK Vardar edged Pelister 2-1.
The goal took his league tally this 2025/26 season to an incredible 11 goals in just 12 matches. Mato’s scoring exploits extend beyond domestic action.
Including his Europa Conference League qualifiers, where he has netted three times in four games, he boasts 14 goals and one assist in just 16 matches across all competitions, a remarkable strike rate that has made him the focal point of Vardar’s attack.

Meanwhile, the night’s victory was sealed by Goran Zakaric, who scored Vardar’s late winner, while Petar Petkovski netted a consolation for Pelister. Thanks to Mato’s blistering form and Zakaric’s decisive finish, Vardar now sit comfortably atop the North Macedonian league table with 30 points from 12 games.
With his confidence soaring, Mato looks set to continue his remarkable run, and Vardar will be hoping their star attacker can maintain this red-hot form as the season progresses.
