Rogers Mato, the prolific Uganda Cranes striker, is on an unstoppable scoring streak in North Macedonia, leaving both fans and defenders in awe. The 22-year-old forward once again found the net on Sunday, securing FK Vardar’s 3–1 triumph over Tikves with a composed finish that calmed the home crowd.
That goal elevated Mato’s tally to 12 for the season, placing him atop the Macedonian First League scorers’ chart alongside Struga’s Bassirou Compaoré. Vardar’s victory reinforced their position at the summit of the 12-team league table, boasting 33 points from 13 matches and maintaining an unblemished run that fuels their title ambitions.
Mato’s sensational form has seen him score in three successive outings, hitting the target against Sileks, Pelister, and now Tikves. With confidence soaring, the former KCCA FC star is eager to extend his streak when Vardar face struggling Shkupi on November 23, immediately after the international break.
Before that, Mato shifts his focus to national colors. The Uganda Cranes forward has joined the squad ahead of friendlies against Chad and Morocco, aiming to translate his club brilliance to the international arena and provide a spark for his national team.
