Vipers SC have confirmed the exit of veteran right-back Nicholas Wadada after his contract with the club officially expired.
The Uganda Premier League champions announced the defender’s departure on Friday, bringing the curtain down on his second stint at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
In a farewell statement, the Venoms expressed gratitude for Wadada’s contribution and wished him success in the next phase of his career.
“Thank you and farewell, Nicholas Wadada. We wish you all the best in your future endeavours,” the club said.
Wadada is now the sixth player to leave Vipers during the ongoing transfer window, following the exits of Bashir Ssekagya, Grant Matsiko, Taddeo Lwanga, Alfred Mudekereza, and Livingstone Mulondo.
The experienced defender returned to Vipers in 2024 on a two-year deal, which has now run its course.

Despite the club’s successful title-winning campaign in the 2025/26 season, Wadada struggled for regular action, featuring in just three Uganda Premier League matches.
Prior to his return to Kitende, the seasoned full-back enjoyed spells with Tanzanian sides Azam FC, Ihefu FC, and Singida Black Stars, where he established himself as a dependable and attack-minded defender.
Sports Light Uganda understands that Wadada is edging closer to a move to Uganda Cup champions Kitara FC, with negotiations progressing well as the Hoima-based club bolsters its squad for the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup.
Vipers are expected to unveil additional departures and fresh arrivals in the coming days as they continue rebuilding their squad ahead of the new campaign.
