Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have completed one of the biggest transfer coups of the 2026/27 window after re-signing prolific striker Cesar Manzoki for a second spell at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The Congolese native has agreed to return to the Venoms after leaving Indian side Mohammedan Sporting Club, where he had been playing in Kolkata, West Bengal until recently.
Manzoki returns to a club where he established himself as one of the most feared forwards in Ugandan football, with his first spell between the 2020/21 and 2021/22 seasons producing unforgettable numbers.
The lethal striker made 46 Uganda Premier League appearances for Vipers, scoring 26 goals and providing 13 assists while playing a pivotal role in the club’s domestic success.
His impact was particularly remarkable during the 2021/22 campaign, when he fired Vipers to the Uganda Premier League title with 18 league goals to win the Golden Boot.
That extraordinary season also saw him sweep almost every major individual honour in Ugandan football, winning the Uganda Premier League Player of the Season, Players’ Player of the Season, Forward of the Season, Top Scorer award, Most Assists award, and earning a place in the league’s Best XI.
A season earlier, Manzoki had already announced himself by finishing as the top scorer in the Uganda Cup with seven goals.
His return is expected to significantly boost Vipers’ attacking firepower as the club prepares for a demanding campaign that includes the CAF Champions League, the Uganda Premier League, the Uganda Cup and the CECAFA Kagame Cup.
The experienced forward has built an impressive career across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, featuring for AS Dauphins Noirs, AS Maniema Union, AS Vita Club, Dalian Pro, Hatta Club and most recently Mohammedan Sporting Club.
Manzoki becomes the latest high-profile addition to the Venoms’ squad following the arrivals of Jacques Mangoba, Nicholas Mwere, Joel Sserunjogi and Loyce Mbaba, underlining Vipers’ determination to assemble a squad capable of competing for honours on every front.
For Vipers supporters, the return of a proven match-winner who once dominated Ugandan football could prove to be the statement signing of the transfer window.
