Ugandan forward John Paul Dembe continued his fine scoring form, finding the back of the net as BK Häcken dismantled IFK Värnamo in emphatic fashion 5-1 in the Swedish top-flight league on Sunday.
Dembe, who has quickly become a fan favorite in Gothenburg, struck Häcken’s third goal in the 54th minute, underlining his clinical edge in front of goal.
Swedish native Silas Andersen, Isak Brusberg, and Adrian Svanbäck, who bagged a brace, added their names to the scoresheet in a dominant team performance.
The 20-year-old has now netted three goals in the last two outings, following up his midweek heroics, where he scored twice in Häcken’s 7-2 UEFA Conference League thrashing of CFR Cluj.
With his sharp form, Dembe is already making headlines in Sweden and beyond, signalling the rise of another Ugandan star in European football.
Fans will now be eager to see whether the youngster can extend his hot streak for the Uganda Cranes, should he make the final squad for the forthcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mozambique and Somalia.
