SC Villa delivered a ruthless statement on Wednesday evening, tearing Mbarara City apart in a thumping 6β1 Uganda Premier League triumph at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba.
The Jogoos set the tone almost immediately. Barely six minutes had passed when Frank Ssebuufu rose highest to glance home a pinpoint Najib Yiga corner, igniting a dominant display that never relented.
Moments later, Villa struck again, Ssebuufu turned provider this time, skipping past the goalkeeper and squaring unselfishly for Hassan Mubiru to roll into an unguarded net.

Villa smelled blood. Mubiru went close to adding a third with a ferocious long-range drive that skimmed just over the bar, while Mbarara briefly threatened through Ronald Edwok, whose thunderous effort narrowly missed the target with Lukwago beaten.
Any hope of resistance faded at the half-hour mark. Mubiruβs wicked free kick crashed off the woodwork, and Tonny Atukunda reacted fastest to force home the rebound. Five minutes later, Aslam Ssemakula glided in behind the defence and calmly slipped the ball past the advancing goalkeeper to make it four before the break.
The second half followed the same script. Five minutes after the restart, Yiga capped an outstanding performance by finishing from close range after a slick exchange with Ssemakula. Mubiru then completed his brace in the 55th minute, ruthlessly capitalising on a dreadful back pass from Reagan Matege.
Mbarara City found a late consolation when Wycliff Ahumuza was brought down in the box, allowing Clinton Kamugisha to convert confidently from the spot in the 88th minute, sending Lukwago the wrong way.
