Vipers SC have wasted little time making their presence felt in the transfer window, snapping up 23-year-old Congolese striker Glody Beyuku Munsi in a move that adds fresh bite to their title charge.

AS Vita Clubโ€™s former frontman arrives at St. Maryโ€™s Stadium, Kitende on a two-year agreement after seeing out the final stretch of his deal in Kinshasa, which had been set to lapse on June 30.

The Venoms moved decisively to bring him on board before rivals could circle.

Finisher in full flow

Munsi steps into Ugandan football carrying a proven goal record. Last season, he rattled in 10 league goals for Vita, carving out a reputation as a reliable marksman for one of Central Africaโ€™s traditional powerhouses.

The current campaign suggests he has no intention of slowing down. Two goals in as many competitive matches underline a striker brimming with belief and sharpness.

His game is built on acceleration, clever movement between defenders, and a ruthless touch inside the penalty area, traits that could inject a new dimension into Vipersโ€™ attacking patterns.

Fierce competition up front

Breaking into the starting XI will be no gentle introduction. The Venoms already boast a loaded frontline featuring Yunus Sentamu, Gusto Mulongo, Mark Yallah, Kenneth Kimera, Isaac Ogwang, and Milton Karisa, a mix of experience, flair, and physical presence.

For the technical bench, however, Munsiโ€™s arrival is a luxury rather than a dilemma. With league ambitions and continental assignments still demanding attention, squad rotation will be crucial. Adding another natural finisher ensures Vipers can sustain intensity without dulling their edge in front of goal.

Forged in the Congolese cauldron

Before commanding headlines at Vita, Munsi sharpened his instincts with OC Renaissance and AS Dauphins Noir, steadily maturing in the competitive environment of the Congolese top flight.

Those formative seasons refined his awareness, timing, and composure, qualities that now complement his youthful energy.

Statement move

This is not merely a routine reinforcement. It is a calculated push from Vipers, signaling that they intend to stay firmly in the hunt as the season enters its decisive phase.

With momentum on his side and expectations rising, the spotlight will quickly shift to how swiftly Munsi adapts to the pace and physicality of the Uganda Premier League, and whether his scoring streak can light up Kitende the way it did in Kinshasa.
