Four-time Uganda Premier League champions URA FC have moved to retain two of their promising young talents after agreeing fresh contracts with midfielder Godfrey Ssekibengo and defender John Innocent Kisolo.
This website understands that the pair have each committed their futures to the Tax Collectors by signing new two-year deals, extending their stay at the club beyond the expiration of their previous contracts.
Ssekibengo and Kisolo arrived at URA FC ahead of the 2023/24 campaign on three-year agreements. With those contracts coming to an end this month, both players have opted to continue their development at Nakivubo-based side.
Kisolo, who captained St. Henry’s College Kitovu during his school days, built his football foundation in KCCA FC’s junior ranks where he featured in the FUFA Juniors League. He also gained valuable competitive experience while representing Mawokota in the prestigious Masaza Cup.
His teammate Ssekibengo followed a similar path, having also been part of the highly successful St. Henry’s College Kitovu side that reached the final of the 2023 USSSA National Boys Football Championship in Fort Portal. The team also featured talented youngster Denis Luzige Kisiriko.
Wishing the entire URA FC family a happy and fruitful new week.

Before joining URA FC, Ssekibengo sharpened his skills with KCCA FC’s U-17 side in the FUFA Juniors League and later represented Bukedea Comprehensive School in both USSSA and FEASSSA competitions.
One of the most remarkable chapters of his youth career came with KJT, where he participated in the 2017 and 2018 Gothia Cup tournaments in China. His outstanding performances saw him emerge as the Most Valuable Player in both editions.
The gifted midfielder also enjoyed success on the international stage at youth level, playing a key role in Uganda’s triumph at the inaugural CECAFA U-15 Championship hosted in Eritrea in 2019.
A product of Streamline Football Academy, Ssekibengo’s football journey further included a stint with Luncia Junior Team in Spain, where he underwent trials in Valencia during his formative years.
The contract renewals underline URA FC’s commitment to maintaining a core of young, talented players as the club continues preparations for future domestic and continental ambitions.
