Kitara FC have bolstered their attacking ranks with the acquisition of seasoned striker Karim Ndugwa, completing the signing of the experienced forward during the ongoing transfer window.
The Hoima-based outfit officially announced the deal on Friday, July 24, 2026, confirming that the prolific frontman has committed his future to the Uganda Premier League side on a two-year contract.
“The latest addition is striker Karim Ndugwa, who has signed a two-year deal with the Hoima-based side,” the club stated on its official website.
Ndugwa arrives as a free agent after bringing his spell at BUL FC to an end, with Kitara winning the race for his signature despite strong interest from several clubs eager to secure his services.
His arrival hands the Royals a significant attacking boost as they continue reinforcing their squad ahead of the new campaign, adding one of the league’s most experienced forwards to their ranks.
Speaking shortly after completing the move, the towering striker expressed his excitement about embarking on a new chapter with the Hoima-based club.

Kitara believe the veteran attacker will inject quality, experience and a clinical edge into their frontline, describing him as a natural goalscorer capable of providing another formidable attacking option as the club strengthens its ambitions for the upcoming season.
The vastly travelled striker boasts an extensive football résumé, having represented SC Villa, URA FC, Express FC, Wakiso Giants, Mbarara City, Victors FC and BUL FC in Uganda. Beyond the domestic scene, he has enjoyed spells with Kenya’s AFC Leopards, Ethiopian side Hambericho and Somali outfit Horseed, further underlining the wealth of experience he brings to the Royals’ dressing room.
