Hoima City Stadium has joined the ranks of world-class football venues after receiving a flawless five-star pitch rating from ProPitch, the globally acclaimed turf consultancy known for inspecting iconic grounds like Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and UEFA competition arenas.

During a meticulous review conducted last week, ProPitch specialist Aaron Cross awarded Hoima’s main pitch and its adjacent training ground an exceptional 115 out of 115 points, the highest possible mark on the firm’s scale.

The evaluation examined three critical dimensions, Playing Quality, Physical Integrity, and Turf Health, with Hoima surpassing international standards across the board.

This distinction effectively places the Hoima facility among the top-tier football surfaces worldwide, underscoring Uganda’s growing investment in modern sports infrastructure.

ProPitch’s involvement adds significant credibility to the project. The consultancy’s portfolio includes elite turf assessments for Tottenham Hotspur’s stadium and training complex, all 10 venues of the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022, and major sporting arenas across Scotland and New Zealand.

With this endorsement, Hoima City Stadium now stands on the verge of global recognition, pending final certification from CAF and FIFA before the official handover to the Ugandan government.

The rating not only highlights the stadium’s technical excellence but also boosts Uganda’s readiness to host high-profile international fixtures in the near future.
