KCCA FC are closing in on the official unveiling of Uganda Cranes forward Jude Ssemugabi after securing an agreement with the versatile attacker ahead of the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season.
Swift Sports understands that the 13-time league champions have completed the necessary arrangements to bring Ssemugabi to Lugogo, with the highly rated forward expected to be unveiled in the next 48 hours, barring any last-minute changes.
The move represents another major statement from the Kasasiro Boys, who are aggressively strengthening their squad as they seek to mount a serious challenge for domestic honours following an extended wait for major silverware.
Ssemugabi arrives after an impressive campaign with South Sudanese powerhouse Jamus SC, where he continued to enhance his reputation as one of the region’s most dependable attacking talents. His performances across the season earned him recognition as a player capable of making a difference at the highest level in East African football.
The transfer will also see the forward reunite with KCCA head coach Brian Ssenyondo, a manager who has worked with him previously at Mbarara City and Kitara FC. Their familiarity is expected to help Ssemugabi quickly adapt to life at Lugogo as Ssenyondo continues shaping a squad built around his vision.
