URA FC and BUL FC played out a tightly contested 1-1 draw in their Uganda Premier League clash at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo on Thursday, with both sides forced to settle for a share of the spoils after an evenly matched encounter.

The game sparked into life early, with URA threatening in the 16th minute. Bruno Bunyaga made an incisive run down the right wing before whipping in a teasing cross, but Moses Aliro failed to capitalize as his attempt drifted off target.

BUL, however, made their moment count midway through the first half. In the 34th minute, Richard Okello calmly finished off a well-worked move after being picked out by Reagan Kalyowa, handing the visitors a deserved lead.

As the first half approached its conclusion, URA made tactical adjustments, introducing Godfrey Ssekibengo and Norman Namanya in place of Moses Waiswa and Ismail Mugulusi in a bid to shift momentum.

The changes appeared to inject urgency, and just before the halftime whistle, URA found their breakthrough. Bruno Bunyaga stepped up to restore parity in the 47th minute, finishing off a move that reignited the contest heading into the second half.

After the restart, both teams raised the intensity, pushing forward with greater purpose as they searched for a decisive goal. The tempo increased significantly beyond the hour mark, with end-to-end action keeping the contest finely balanced.

Despite late efforts from both sides, neither could find the winning touch, leaving the match to end in a draw.

The result sees BUL maintain an eighth position on the table with 31 points, while URA remain in 11th place on 23 points after 23 matches in the ongoing campaign.
