Vipers SC booked their place in the quarterfinals of the Uganda Cup in emphatic fashion, delivering a commanding performance to dismantle Iganga United 4-0 under the lights at St Maryโs Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The Venoms wasted little time asserting their authority, with Hillary Mukundane breaking the deadlock early on. Rising above the defense, he powered home a precise header in the eighth minute, expertly meeting a well-delivered corner from Yunus Sentamu.

Despite creating a series of promising chances afterward, Vipers lacked the clinical edge to further punish their opponents before the break, settling for a narrow 1-0 advantage at halftime.
The second half, however, told a completely different story. Just minutes after the restart, Gusto Mulongo doubled the hostsโ lead, finishing off a slick move orchestrated by Abdul Karim Watambala.
Mulongo struck again shortly after, completing his brace in quick succession and effectively putting the contest beyond Iganga Unitedโs reach.
As the game edged into stoppage time, Mukundane returned to cap off a memorable night. The forward latched onto a pinpoint cross from Usama Arafat, calmly finishing to seal his own brace and round off a comprehensive victory.
