NEC FC’s successful swoop for Joseph Seremba and Charles Waibi from Kigezi HomeBoyz during the recently closed transfer window is already paying dividends, and head coach Hussein Mbalangu appears ready to return to the same talent pool.

Both Seremba and Waibi have seamlessly slotted into NEC’s setup, delivering strong early performances that have strengthened the Diehards’ campaign. The duo have quickly earned starting roles, and Waibi even announced his arrival in style with a stunning strike in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Impressed by the impact of his new recruits, Mbalangu has now turned his attention back to Kigezi, where another rising prospect — midfielder Enock Tumwesigye — has caught his eye.

The NEC tactician openly praised the youngster’s qualities and hinted at the possibility of adding him to his squad in the near future.

“Very soon, if everything goes according to plan, Enock (Tumwesigye) might join his colleagues (former teammates) Seremba and Waibi,” Mbalangu confirmed, as he spoke to Sports Nation Uganda.

In a personal message to the promising midfielder, Mbalangu offered both encouragement and a challenge.

“Work harder, I will be following you and your games to monitor your performance.”

Tumwesigye’s recent displays certainly justify the interest. The energetic playmaker scored Kigezi HomeBoyz’s only goal in their 1–1 draw away to CATDA during the Big League opener, a performance that underlined his growing influence and potential.

If Mbalangu gets his way, Tumwesigye could soon reunite with Seremba and Waibi at NEC, further strengthening the club’s connection with Kigezi HomeBoyz and adding yet another spark to the Diehards’ midfield.
