Ugandan international and striker Fred Amaku has set personal formidable and daunting targets following his move and unveiling at four-time Uganda Premier League champions URA FC.
Amaku joined the money-bags on a two-year employment contract, having exited 2023/24 Uganda Cup champions Kitara FC after the end of his contract.
“My target is simple, it’s to hit double figures in goals, deliver important performances, and make the fans proud,” the experienced forward was quoted by the club website upon putting pen to paper. “Joining URA FC is a big step in my career and I’m truly excited for this new challenge. This is a club with great ambition and tradition, and I want to be part of its success story.”
“I have come here to work hard, score goals, and help the team compete at the very top,” Amaku added.

At Kitara last season, Amaku struggled to replicate his form from the previous campaigns, as he netted just five goals with three assists in 26 matches across all competitions. He had joined them from Maroons FC, where he played for three campaigns, managing 68 matches, with 29 goals and 11 assists. In the past, he featured for Busoga United.
Meanwhile, at the national team, the 29-year-old has played five matches for Uganda Cranes, managing a goal and an assist to his name.
