Entebbe Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC) Football Club have booked their place in the Round of 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after grinding out a narrow 1-0 victory over Ombachi Pride in Koboko.

The Printers were made to work hard at the St Charles Lwanga Playground, where persistent rainfall turned the contest into a scrappy, physical battle. With chances few and far between, the breakthrough arrived after the break when substitute Fazil “Chopra” Tumwine struck the decisive goal to separate the sides and send UPPC through.

Elsewhere across the country, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) also needed resilience on the road, edging Patongo United 1-0 in Agago District. Joshua “Letti” Lubwama found the net as early as the sixth minute, and the Tax Collectors then dug deep to protect their slim advantage until the final whistle.

In Soroti, Kitara continued their cup journey with a hard-earned 1–0 win over Obule Earth Quake Football Club, while drama unfolded in Kampala where a ten-man Lugazi showed remarkable grit to overcome Kisugu United 2–1 despite being reduced in numbers.

Action in West Nile saw Maroons assert their experience with a 2–1 triumph over Paidha United at Bar Okoro Stadium in Zombo District. Brian Nkuubi Ssemakula and Dickson Niwamanya were on target for the visitors to steer them into the next round.

NEC were clinical away from home, dispatching Mabira Town Council 2–0 at the Nyakasanga Playground in Kasese. Second-half goals from Allan Mugalu and Mohammed Kagawa sealed a comfortable passage for the Kasasiro Boys.

Police also cruised into the Round of 32 with an emphatic 3–0 victory over Mayirwe. Umar Kasumba opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Charles Bbaale took centre stage with a second-half brace to complete the rout.
