In Tanzania, Allan Okello produced one of the standout Ugandan performances of the weekend, despite ending on the losing side.
The talented midfielder struck twice for Young Africans SC in a thrilling 3-2 defeat to Dodoma Jiji, displaying his attacking brilliance throughout the contest. Okello later bounced back strongly on Saturday, helping Yanga secure a comfortable 2-0 victory over JKT Tanzania in the CRDB Federation Cup.
Travis Mutyaba also ended his season on a high note in Tunisia. The creative midfielder provided an assist as CS Sfaxien defeated Etoile Sahel 3-1 in their final league fixture of the campaign. Mutyaba wrapped up the season with an impressive return of two goals and six assists, underlining his growing importance at the club.
Across the United States, Allan Oyirwoth featured for 62 minutes as New England Revolution II edged Orlando City B 1-0 in the MLS Next Pro League. Fellow Ugandans Steven Sserwadda and Ibrahim Kasule both completed the full match for Connecticut FC, though their side suffered a 2-0 defeat against Toronto FC II.
In Scotland, Jordan Obita enjoyed another productive week with Hibernian. The experienced defender played 78 minutes during Hibs’ impressive 2-1 victory over Rangers before following it up with a full-match display in Saturday’s narrow 1-0 success over Motherwell FC.
Elsewhere in the Czech Republic, Aziz Kayondo endured a disappointing conclusion to Slovan Liberec’s clash against Sparta Prague after receiving a red card deep into stoppage time during the 2-0 loss.
There was further disciplinary frustration in Egypt where Joachim Ojera was sent off late in Arab Contractors’ goalless draw against Haras El Hodood. Veteran left-back Joseph Ochaya also featured in the encounter, making a late cameo appearance in the closing stages of the match.
