The 2026 Uganda Cup final between SC Villa and Kitara FC will take place at FUFA Stadium Kadiba on Saturday, May 30, following confirmation from FUFA.

The federation has opted to return the showpiece event to Kadiba for a second consecutive year after the venue hosted the 2025 final in which Vipers SC overcame KCCA FC 2-0 to claim the title.

The choice of venue could hand SC Villa a slight edge heading into the decisive clash, with the Jogoos having spent the entire season using Kadiba as their home ground.

Two giants. One trophy. One moment to make history. 🏆

The stage is set for the Stanbic Uganda Cup final as Kitara FC face SC Villa in a battle for glory.

Villa booked their place in the final after comfortably seeing off URA FC 3-0 on aggregate in the semifinals. Their second-leg victory at Kadiba came courtesy of a James Begisa own goal that sealed a 1-0 win on the day.

Kitara FC, meanwhile, earned their ticket to the final in dramatic fashion after eliminating reigning champions Vipers SC on the away goals rule following a 1-1 aggregate stalemate.

Interestingly, the two finalists already faced off at Kadiba earlier in the Uganda Premier League campaign, with SC Villa narrowly securing a 1-0 victory through Frank Ssebuufu’s lone strike.

With silverware and continental qualification at stake, the final is expected to attract huge attention as Villa chase another domestic crown while Kitara aim to cap off an impressive cup run with a historic triumph.
