Kitara FC have strengthened their defensive department with the acquisition of Kato Samuel Nemeyimana, who has officially signed a two-year contract that runs from 2025 to 2027.
He joins as a free agent, having left Soltilo Bright Stars FC at the end of last season, after the club got relegated from the StarTimes Uganda Premier League to the FUFA Big League.
“Kato Samuel has officially joined Kitara FC on a two-year contract (2025–2027),” the club confirmed in a statement released on Saturday.

The Ugandan defender, known for his tough tackling and aerial command, brings valuable experience to the Royals’ backline. He has previously played for Bugesera FC in Rwanda, and Ugandan giants KCCA FC, where he proved to be a reliable and versatile option in defence.

The arrival of the 26-year-old defender is seen as a major boost for the Hoima-based side, who are aiming to build on their recent progress in the Uganda Premier League.
