SC Villa have booked their place in the semifinals of the 2025 FUFA Super 8 after edging rivals KCCA on aggregate in the Kampala Derby.

The Jogoos walked into the return leg at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba with a 2-1 cushion from the first meeting, and a hard-fought 0-0 stalemate on Friday evening was enough to see them through.

Villa began brightly at their newly adopted home, moving the ball with urgency but struggling to apply the finishing touch in the attacking third. Hassan Mubiru tirelessly stretched the KCCA defence, yet his crosses and link-up play went to waste with no decisive presence inside the box.

The best chance of the opening half fell just before the interval, when Brian Jjara threaded a clever pass to Rogers Mugisha, only for the latter to drag his strike narrowly wide.

After the restart, KCCA pressed forward in search of a lifeline, but it was Villa who carved out the clearer openings. Charles Lwanga twice came close midway through the second period, but the visitors held firm.

Ultimately, Villaโ€™s first-leg advantage proved decisive, sealing their ticket to the last four, where they will take on defending champions BUL FC.
