KCCA FC ground out a narrow but valuable 1-0 victory against Entebbe UPPC in a tightly contested Uganda Premier League fixture held at the lakeside Fisheries Training Institute on Tuesday, 21st April 2026.
The decisive moment came late in the second half, with Sammy Reynold Ssebadduka emerging as the hero after finding the breakthrough with just under 20 minutes remaining in a match played under bright, sunny skies.
KCCA asserted control for much of the encounter, dictating tempo and creating a series of chances, though their inefficiency in front of goal threatened to frustrate their efforts.

Despite their dominance in possession and territory, the visitors struggled to convert opportunities into tangible reward during the opening stages.
Early on, Entebbe UPPC goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa was called into action, producing a sharp save to push away a well-directed header from KCCA captain Garvin Kizito Mugweri in the 18th minute. Moments later, Brian Jjara failed to capitalize from close range, firing off target inside the danger area.
The hosts, largely on the back foot, carved out their first meaningful opportunity late in the first half. Abraham Kakensa Tusubira delivered a dangerous cross that forced KCCA goalkeeper Mutwalibi Mugolofa into a timely intervention, parrying the ball clear.
Shortly after, Mugolofa was again alert, denying Kigozi’s header from a well-taken Noordin Bunjo corner.
The match’s defining passage arrived in the 72nd minute. Mugweri launched a long ball forward that caught the Entebbe defense off guard. Ssebadduka reacted quickest, capitalizing on hesitation from Omedwa.
The forward cleverly lifted the ball over the advancing goalkeeper before racing through to nod it into an unguarded net, sealing what proved to be the winning goal.
Entebbe attempted to muster a response, with Kigozi trying his luck from distance in the 77th minute, but his effort failed to trouble the target.
