England

In the English lower divisions and cup action, minutes were shared but results varied. Asiimwe Nathan was introduced late, playing 15 minutes as AFC Wimbledon battled to an entertaining 3-3 stalemate with Barnsley.

Defender Toby Sibbick put in an 89-minute shift for Burton Albion, but they fell narrowly, 1-0, to West Ham in FA Cup action.

Meanwhile, Bevis Mugabi delivered a full-match performance, playing all 90 minutes as Carlisle United secured an impressive 3-1 victory over Forest Green Rovers.

Finland

In the Finnish top flight, Calvin Kabuye featured for 45 minutes, but KuPS came up short in a tight 1-0 loss to Ilves.

Israel

Center-back Timothy Awany completed the full 90 minutes for Ashdod, yet his side could not avoid a 2-1 defeat against Hapoel Beer Sheva.

Romania

Ugandan presence was felt in Romania as well. Elio Capradossi came off the bench for 34 minutes, helping U Cluj to victory over Csikszereda.

In continental competition, experience and creativity were on display. Veteran goalkeeper Denis Onyango was an unused substitute as Mamelodi Sundowns comfortably beat MC Alger 2-0.

In Tanzania, Allan Okello played 65 minutes and registered an assist as Young Africans swept aside Kabylie 3-0 in a commanding performance.

CAF Confederation Cup

Midfield anchor Khalid Aucho lasted the full 90 minutes for Singida Black Stars in a cagey goalless draw with Stellenbosch.

Oman

In the Gulf, Halid Lwaliwa featured for Al Shabab as they secured a solid 2-0 win over Ibri.

Scotland

In Scotland, opportunities were limited.

Rogers Mato saw just four minutes of action as Hearts were beaten 4-2 by Rangers.

At Ross County, Uche Mubiru featured in a narrow 1-0 loss to Queen’s Park.

South Africa

Ali Mwirusi turned out for Midlands Wanderers, but they endured a heavy 4-1 defeat against Cape Town City.

Rwanda

There was joy in Kigali. Denis Omedi found the back of the net for APR FC, while Hakim Kiwanuka and Ronald Ssekiganda also featured in their 1-1 draw against Kiyovu.

Kenya

Across the border in Kenya, Samuel Ssenyonjo started for AFC Leopards, with James Ssetuba named among the substitutes, as they played out a goalless draw with Bandari.
