URA FC have undertaken a significant squad overhaul during the mid-season transfer window, bringing in four new players while allowing eight others to leave as the club looks to turn around a disappointing campaign.

The tax collectors have already confirmed the arrival of experienced midfielder Moses Waiswa, who joins the club on a two-year contract after parting ways with Vipers SC.

“We are delighted to welcome Moses Waiswa to URA FC on a two-year deal,” the club announced. “An experienced and versatile midfielder with a winning mentality, Waiswa joins as our first mid-season signing and is ready to hit the ground running.”

Beyond Waiswa’s confirmed signing, URA have also secured the services of several other players expected to bolster different areas of the squad. These include former Uganda U-20 striker Derrick Kakooza, ex-Wakiso Giants FC captain Rahmat Ssenfuka, and left-back Disan Galiwango. The trio are yet to be officially unveiled by the club.

To make room for the incoming players, URA have sanctioned several departures, with a number of squad members either moving out on loan or sealing permanent exits.

Former Soltilo Bright Stars FC captain Nelson Senkatuka and left-back Shafik Lugolobi have reportedly joined Express FC on loan. Midfielder Kabon Living has permanently returned to Kitara FC.

Meanwhile, Amis Bwangani and Faisal Matovu have been loaned to Iganga United FC, where they had previously featured as double-licensed players.

Midfielders Laban Tibita and Abraham Tusubira are also reportedly heading to Entebbe UPPC FC on loan as part of the club’s restructuring process.
