Entebbe UPPC have continued their preparations for the 2026/27 Uganda Premier League season by completing the signings of experienced midfielder Ibrahim Mugulusi and right-back Grant Matsiko.
The double acquisition underlines the club’s ambition to reinforce key areas of the squad as head coach Abdallah Mubiru shapes his team for the upcoming campaign.
Mugulusi arrives as a free agent after ending a six-year stay at BUL FC. The midfielder joined the Jinja-based club in 2020 and established himself as one of the league’s dependable performers before parting ways with the Eastern Giants at the end of last season.

His departure came as part of BUL’s squad restructuring, which also saw the exits of Karim Ndugwa, Isaac Wagoina, Ibrahim Orit, Jeromy Kirya and Nicholas Mwere.
With previous spells at Busoga United and SC Villa, Mugulusi brings a wealth of top-flight experience and midfield composure that Entebbe UPPC will hope proves invaluable throughout the new season.
The club has also secured the services of Grant Matsiko, who joins after leaving reigning Uganda Premier League giants Vipers SC.
Matsiko signed for the Venoms from Wakiso Giants in 2023 but found first-team opportunities difficult to come by during his time at St. Mary’s Stadium. Prior to that move, he featured for Kigezi HomeBoyz, where he built his reputation as a reliable full-back.
The pair become the latest additions to Mubiru’s squad, following the earlier capture of midfielder Sharif Sengendo from KCCA FC as Entebbe UPPC continue to strengthen ahead of the new season.
