As the Uganda Premier League title race edges toward a dramatic conclusion, KCCA FC kept their ambitions alive with a spirited comeback victory away from home on Wednesday evening.
The Kasasiro Boys battled from behind to defeat UPDF FC 2-1 at the Bombo Barracks Grounds, securing three crucial points that move them closer to league leaders Vipers SC.

Despite beginning the contest brightly, KCCA struggled to convert their early dominance into goals. Herbert Achai came close from a set-piece situation after curling a free kick over the crossbar, while Ashraf Mugume also threatened but narrowly missed the target.
UPDF, however, capitalized on their opportunity and stunned the visitors in the 36th minute. Emmanuel Ocen struck decisively to hand the Army side the advantage after an encouraging first-half display built on discipline and resilience.
Trailing at the break, KCCA returned with renewed urgency and controlled much of the second half as they searched for a way back into the contest. The visitors increased the tempo, pinned UPDF deeper into their own half and eventually found the breakthrough in the closing stages.
Emmanuel Anyama restored parity in the 87th minute when he rose above the defence to power home Herbert Achai’s inviting delivery, sparking wild celebrations among the travelling supporters.
Barely two minutes later, the momentum swung completely in KCCA’s favour. UPDF’s resistance crumbled under pressure, and Katenga Opanga punished the hosts with a late winner to complete a dramatic turnaround.
