Uganda Revenue Authority (URA FC) produced a spirited display to earn a hard-fought 1-1 draw against league leaders Vipers SC at St Maryโs Stadium, Kitende, keeping the Uganda Premier League title race far from settled.
The visitors stunned the home supporters midway through the opening half when defender Ronald Otti rose above the Vipers backline to power home a well-delivered free-kick from Isma Mugulusi in the 35th minute.
URA looked sharper and more composed for large spells of the first half, unsettling the Venoms with aggressive pressing and swift transitions.

Midfielder John Innocent Kisolo nearly doubled the advantage with a fierce long-range strike, but goalkeeper Denis Kiggundu reacted well to keep the hosts within touching distance.
Trailing at the break, Vipers emerged for the second half with renewed urgency and quickly began piling pressure on the tax collectors.
Their response finally arrived four minutes after the restart. Following Ashraf Mandelaโs long throw, Hilary Mukundane struck the crossbar with a close-range effort before Arafat Kiza Usama reacted quickest to nod home the rebound and restore parity for the hosts.
The equaliser injected life into the contest as Vipers pushed for a winner in front of their supporters, but URA remained organised defensively and held firm to secure a valuable point away from home.

URA, meanwhile, move to 26 points and sit 11th on the standings after a determined performance in Kitende.
