The 2025–26 Uganda Cup semifinal ties have been confirmed, setting up two intriguing clashes as Kitara take on defending champions Vipers, while Uganda Revenue Authority (URA FC) face record winners SC Villa.
Kitara, who lifted the trophy in 2024, will kick off their tie on home soil at Royal Park Butema in Hoima. The return leg will then shift to St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, where Vipers Sports Club will look to capitalize on home advantage as they aim to retain their crown.
In the other semifinal, URA FC will host the first leg against SC Villa at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo. The decisive second leg will be played at FUFA Kadiba Stadium, where the Jogoos will hope to use their experience to push for another final appearance.

Newly appointed FUFA Competitions Director Shawn Mubiru oversaw the draw ceremony and attracted several notable club representatives. SC Villa were represented by captain David Owori, head coach Zeljko Kovacevic, and CEO William Nkemba.
URA’s delegation included player Joshua Lubwama Letti, CEO Allan Tarsis Munaaba, and assistant coach Bust Ssemuyaba, while Vipers were represented by head coach Ivan Jacky Minnaert.

Among the remaining contenders, SC Villa stand out as the most decorated side in the competition’s history, boasting nine titles (1983, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2009, 2015).
Vipers, the current holders, have claimed the trophy four times (2016, 2020, 2023, 2025) and will be eager to extend their dominance.
URA have lifted the cup on three occasions (2005, 2012, 2014), while Kitara remain the newest name among the winners, having secured their maiden triumph in 2024 with a narrow 1-0 victory over NEC at Muteesa II Stadium.
With history, form, and pride all at stake, the stage is set for two fiercely contested semifinal battles.
